By canceling a book event about homelessness at the Carter Library, the government says they want you to pretend to ignore homeless people the way they do.
Thanks for both the interview with the author (looking forward to reading the book) and for drawing attention to the selective cancellations of events by the Carter Center, of all places. Enraging and disturbing, which is of course the theme of the last month.
To be clear, it was the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library that canceled the talk, not the Carter Center. Those are two different institutions. One answers to the National Archives. The other answers to a private board of directors, Jason Carter and the world.
You are correct; I identified the incorrect entity. But honestly, as a historian, I had a lot of faith in the National Archives until this latest round of chaos began. Thanks again for your years of excellent reporting.

I was absolutely flabbergasted.

Thanks George for keeping this front and center.
