14 people have died in the custody of the Fulton County Sheriff this year. One proposed response to criticism of the sheriff is to defund his critics.

Lashawn Pannell Thompson was found dead, covered in lice and his own waste, face down in the toilet bowl of room 214 of the Fulton County Jail’s psych floor.
